He came on the show as a goof and comic relief, and we all love the guy so whatever. But he slowly became the heart of the show and it's hard to imagine it without him. I find the whole thing pretty fascinating.

shareI've always felt that this show has too much comic relief. You have the natural buddy rivalry between the two leads, fair enough that is actually amusing and men who work together behave that way.
Then you have Kamekona and his offsider whatever his name is, that is annoying enough. You also have Lou Grover another big boy who tries his best but isn't really fitting in. Then they throw in Ortega the try hard cop with the conspiracy theories. It's all a bit much.
Is he leaving? I hadn't heard anything.

shareI've read rumors about Jerry wanting out of the show come season ten, but nothing is confirmed. So far, it just seems like gossip.
If that's the case then yeah, I'm going to miss him dearly. He's one of the few characters I actually enjoy watching.
