Am I the only one who liked the movie?

After coming home from the movie tonight, I was sort of surprised and disappointed to see everyone on here dissing the movie for one reason or another. Going to see it, you had to know it would be in a lot of ways similar to Valentine's Day, but as someone who liked the other film as well, I thought this one was a lot better.

First off, the Efron/Pfeiffer thing was sweet not creepy. If you can't understand why he did what he did well then that is some soul searching for you. Second, having the different ages and celebrities meshed up with the others made the movie less predictable for a change. *Spoiler* Who thought Josh was going to end up with Hilary? My point exactly.

For me going to a movie is a way to escape from some of the harsh reality and suckiness of my day. I went to see this with my sister who I am leaving tomorrow to go back to college 700 miles away. We laughed, cried and looked at each other which is what anyone hopes to experience during a movie.

That is my story and I am sticking to it.

I watched it tonight and quite enjoyed it really. I thought it was gonna be trash but i'll stand up and say it was actually alright.

Sure, i thought a few things where wierd (mainly the age differences ie zac efron and sjp and lea michelle and ashton kutcher) but they can easily be looked over.

My only thing was josh getting together with SJP - no way, she didnt look too great in this film and there where plenty of nicer looking woman at that "party".

It was nice, i liked it too. If one expects a casual romantic comedy or a deep down drama they'd be very disappointed but otherwise it's just fine.

"The stupidity is strong with this one!"

I had very low expectations when I rented this. But I LOVED it. I did not think the different story lines were too much, quite the opposite it kept my interest. It made me laugh and cry. It was sweet and entertaining. The fact that there were so many gorgeous guys to look at wasn't to shabby either. Great movie!

This movie stunk.

I liked it too! I saw it with a date ON New Year's Eve, and I happen to live in Manhattan, 30 minutes from Times Square, so you can imagine why I was excited about this. To me, this was going to be more about the spectacle of New year's Eve in the greatest city in the world than the romance stories. That was my focus, and in that, it delivered. I still wonder if they actually shot in Times Square with millions of people cheering for the new year's and wearing 2012 glasses and hats at a time when it wasn't New Year's Eve yet (it looked too real to have been some kind of green screen effect).

I will say that, story wise, it wasn't as good as Valentine's Day, it was way shorter, but where it mattered, I think this movie delivered well. Even if one looks at it through the lens of a general movie critic, one still can't say that this is the worst movie of the year, as I hear some people say. There's plenty of other candidates for that.

No I really enjoyed it.
We, as people tend to forget that there are others out there with their own conscious, their own thoughts and problems and world, and this movie did a good and entertaining job at twisting many people around one time of the year and one theme: love.
Some people might see this as covering too much, but when you're doing a movie that has a soul purpose of showing multiple people's lives...too much sounds a little lame to be an insult. Life is too much.
The people that criticized this movie, no offense, but in my opinion are just harshing over the fact that it's all big named stars or not some indepth whoohaa.
I think critiquing and ripping down certain movies, this one in particular is a waste of time, and people should just take it for what it is.

I thought that the movie was a lot of fun to watch and was good for what it was.

Yes, you've got to be the only person who liked this movie. It was absolutely awful.

I just finished watching this movie and really enjoyed it. The music, the stories, the characters..... I felt happy and moved by it. Who doesn't like a Gary Marshall film? There has to be something seriously wrong with you if you do not to like his work, I love him and his sister too.... Anywho, I would gladly watch it again... you naysayers just get lost... Lol... Too bad I am too tired to make an intelligent post and response... but Hear This... the film is worthy!!

In Love with the fantasy of Mr. Butler and the wonderful characters he has created.
