She looks nothing like the real Griselda, so why all the prosthetics?

Because Sophia is a bombshell so they wanted to age her and harden her look.

She still looked too sexy to be the very plumpy and quite ugly Griselda. The make up was a silly distraction.

She looked her age (50) and that was the problem when it was revealed that she's pregnant. She looks 50 offscreen too.
