OT - What are your non-political unpopular opinions?

I saw someone post this on Facebook, and thought it might be a fun idea. What are some of your opinions that tend to go against the general consensus or what most people you know feel about something or someone? Remember, please keep it civil and keep political opinions out as much as you can. Just prepare to read some things you may not like.

I'll start:

01. Emma Watson is a bad actress. I like her as a person (as much as I know about her anyway) but her acting is overdone and cringe-worthy at times. She was absolutely miscast as Belle in the upcoming Beauty and the Beast remake.

02. Ryan Gosling is overrated. I was never googley-eyed over him at all.

03. Santa Claus is a ridiculous concept. I never believed in him as a child and I don't see how going to great lengths to trick kids into believing in him is beneficial to them in any way.

04. I hate cats.

1) Christmas is overrated af
2) I don't understand the appeal for Drake
3) Sushi makes me vomit
4) I prefer Joe Jonas over Nick Jonas
5) College so far isn't the best experience in my life. I hate it.
6) I hope Nick and Jess don't get back together in New Girl.
7) Andrew Garfield was the better Spider-Man.
8) Kevin Hart isn't funny. Leslie Jones is funny.
9) Rupert Grint deserves more recognition than DR and EW. (I love them all btw)
10) Taylor Lautner looks better now than he did when he was a kid in the Twilight Saga. His acting gets better with every new role he takes.
11) I prefer Suicide Squad over Deadpool.
12) I prefer Leonardo DiCaprio's performance in The Wolf of Wall Street and The Aviator over The Revenant. Btw, Leo still looks very good.
13) I don't understand the hate for Ted in HIMYM. I prefer him over Barney
14) Ian + Mickey is unhealthy. Yes, I love them together but Ian is better off with Trevor.
15) AHS: Murder House was boring.
16) Disney World is overrated and boring.

I have decided to take half of those personally and we can no longer be friends.

that being said, i read an interesting theory on why Ted is not liked but barney is.

we judge ted by 'good guy standards'. him being a /not/ evil entity means anytime he does anything that isn't golden boy, we judge him harshly by it. Whereas Barney is an evil entity, so anytime he does somehting good, we love him for it.

when ted acts like a good guy, we ignore it, because that is his baseline. when barney acts like a bad guy, we ignore that because thats his baseline, or worse, we revel in it, enjoying his evil antics.

i loved how i met your mother and never really hated ted myself per se, but towards the end he really just did seem to be a less charismatic barney.

I never got the argument about Ted Vs Barney when Marshall was far and away the clear winner.

Never been to Disney world so I wouldn't know but I LOVE Disneyland. Granted it could in part be to nostalgia factor since I went there as a kid all the time and loved it then, but I also still love it now. But that doesn't make your opinion any less valid either. Plus you were talking about Disney World.

I wholeheartedly agree on your point about Ted. I much Prefer him to Barney. I think Barney's despicable. Marshall is actually my favorite, though.

Just thought of this but I don't know why Jesse Esienberg keeps getting acting roles...like I really don't.

I can't speak about his acting ability since I don't think I've seen a single one of his movies(I don't see a lot of movies TBH) but does that dude EVER change his facial expression? I swear every photo I see of him has that weird squinty stoic look going on.

His acting ability is the same in his films. It's one facial expression and this sense of superiority through all his characters that's grating. I just started watching batman vs superman and I hate the film thus far because of him...and Ben Affleck as batman.

i get it. i was actually happy when he was recast for the zombieland tv series (Which unfortunately never got picked up)

Greenscreen gets a bad rap.

everoyne says 'they're not even acting anymore they're doing it all in front of a greenscreen' and even Sir Ian MKellen spoke out against it. greenscreen means acting without a lot of things like sets, sure. but you know what else is like that... theater. sure big budget productions like wicked put on full sets, and some even half semblances of sets but even then its just like acting in front of a greenscreen. a few minimal props and such that are necessary, and the backgrounds just a stage.

That no ones completely straight or completely gay, in fact it is impossible to be one or the other entirely. People really don't like that idea.

I HATE chocolate and mint combinations. When I was in elementary school I had never seen mint chocolate chip ice cream before so I grabbed it on our free dessert day thinking "me like chocolate". It was absolutely horrific and I had to get therapy for years to recover. It's just not okay to mix those two things. I love both separately.

i feel disappointed i used my 'you deserve everything bad' joke on the ice cream guy cuz this hurts my heart. i love mint chocolate. not even just in ice cream. ive been eating mint chocolates all morning. it completes me. if i was a flavor i would be mint chocolate chip.

Our perfectcat ship will live on in spite of this difference. Now I want create a thread about picking your ice cream flavor. I think if I was a flavor it would be something like New York Super Fudge Chunk or the Tonight Dough and on my boring but still awesome days a Chocolate Chip ice cream.

if we get two choices id also add rockie road or birthday cake or something decadent on top. im all about two flavors. notj ust ice cream but anything. anytime i go out to eat i end up wishing i could just have half of one thing on the menu and half of something else.

its why i love buffets even though they are so low quality. i just love to have options. probably why im serially single tbqh

Same here. I always mix two types of cereal, dips, etc. I love variety on the menu and I'm serially single as well lol. I tend to get interested in a guy for awhile, lose interest, and want someone else so I just stay single to avoid extra drama.
