Lucy Hale books CW pilot

The show is called "Life Sentence" and it's about a "young woman diagnosed with terminal cancer who finds out that she’s not dying after all and has to learn to live with the choices she made when she decided to 'live like she was dying.'"

That's an interesting premise for sure.

A: Good for her!
B: Aw man I lost the bet on who was the first to take an acting break hahahaha.

But in all seriousness I'm glad she's found something new AND as a lead where she will potentially get to y'know, act. Instead of being permanently attached to Ian Harding's face. I'm looking forward to a showcase of her talent.

The world isn't split into good people and Death Eaters.

That's great! I hope it gets picked up!

"Who lives, who dies, who tells your story"

It could work as a comedy if it was turned into something like The Hangover.

"Life Sentence"?? That's what PLL probably felt like to Lucy by the time season 7 wrapped! She was beginning to look like she'd been sentenced to life.

I would have also lost that bet on the acting gig! I really thought she would focus on music now that she's been freed from PLL. I think she's incredibly marketable and has a good fanbase, but it's hard for me to imagine her as anything other than a permanent attachment to Ian Harding's face. Aria is such a stale loaf. I kinda want to watch the beginning of this new show just to see if they give Lucy some better material to work with & how she handles it.

I like what I've seen of Lucy as a person and wish her all the best for sure.

I'm happy for her, but I feel like she never gives acting her all because she's still obsessed with music. If this show involves her singing, then it could work.
