I give all these below a 9/10; I think he's brilliant. Haven't seen Hard Eight.

I think it's a shame that Punch Drunk Love is so down below everyone's list. Films like There Will be Blood and the Master are just too obvious. PTA really shows his abilities with the less grandeur Punch Drunk Love.

I love all of his 21st century films. However, his stuff from the 90's felt too much like he wanted to be a Scorsese. Not bad movies at all, but nothing about them stood out for me. Hard Eight I can give a pass, it being his first movie, but I've seen Magnolia 2 or 3 times and still don't really dig it.
