List of other great New Zealand films

Hi, can anyone recommend other movies from New Zealand, not necessarily for the same kind of audience that this is aimed at.
I know of Whale Rider and Once Were Warriors and it's sequel.
Thanks.

Not sure if anyone mentioned "An Angel at My Table," the fantastic "Out of the Blue" (based on true events), the compelling documentary "This Way of Life," "Goodbye Pork Pie" and the one I just finished watching of course, "Boy!"

I thought instead of going through all the fantastic ones I've ordered over here online to watch, I've found this link from N.Z. which lists all it's movies alphabetically.

and this link is that websites 'First Choices' meaning ones they'd highly recommend.

Hope these help some of you and from the 25+ I've seen, I'd highly recommend watching as many as you can. I truly think most of the films (with the exception of a few), have a universal message and even if you don't get a little, you will definitely get a lot!!

Better than most on the list there is 'The Ugly'.
Also, 'The Whole of the Moon' is a tear-jerker extraordinaire

You should seek out some NZ short films. They're fantastic and, in my opinion, ground-breaking for the entire industry.
'Kitchen Sink' is the best Kiwi short film ever - it's a great representation of not only NZ films, but Kiwi style and humor.

"The quiet earth" is a completely different film, but a cult classic that is well worth a look.
