It's all but certain now that there won't be a romantic relationship between Rizzoli and Isles. It's a shame because the actresses have such great chemistry together. I mean, couldn't they throw us a bone? Maybe they could have shared a kiss when they were undercover or something?
Exactly, I find this development odd since neither woman has ever shown interest in women. They have been decidedly heterosexual. It would be forced at this point and I am not on board. Perhaps if we'd seen signs of it over the seasons then I'd be on board.
A segment of the the shows viewers watch for the "Lesbian Breakout Episode." Much the same way that "Zena Warrior Princess" had a strong lesbian following. The reboot of Zena will feature Zena and Gabriel as lovers because of this.
Otherwise it is a weak, procedural cop show. Several episodes introduce the murderer with only 8 to 10 minutes left in the show's running time. This includes the 2 to 4 minute epilogues, typically at the bar, resolving the sub plot(s). The show has reached the point where the crimes take second place or are even ignored / dropped from the story line.
From the latest episode: The first victim, the CPA, he disappeared from the show when Maura's not ex-husband was found. veteran detective sergeant Korciak's comments. "Killer used a shotgun so it wasn't a professional." Professional hit men do use shotguns because you can't get ballistics from shot the way you can from a bullet. His suggestion that the buck shot be checked for finger prints or DNA in case it was hand loaded. Buck shot is propelled out of the gun by an explosion of gunpowder. DNA and / or fingerprints would not survive a fire. The surface of buck shot would not be good for prints anyway.
Zena and Gabriel had a much larger straight male fan base that is more important than the smaller lesbian crowd. We don't mind some girl on gal scenes but Zena without all the guys just wouldn't work. On another note not all lesbians and bisexual people have issues with straight sex scenes. Just some straight people don't mind gay sexual attractions. All sexual themes to watch on screen can be interesting as long as preferences aren't forced. ?
I agree with the others here...I think it's stupid that some fans ship them together as a couple just because they have great on-screen chemistry...can't these 2 women just remain as close friends? Why do some fans keep insisting on hooking them up together? Even the actresses themselves think it's silly that some fans like to ship them together.
In the books they are totally straight. Jane is married to Gabriel Dean and has a little girl, Regina; Maura is in love with a priest. I go by the books as canon. In fact I'm disappointed that Korsak & Jane's mother didn't get together as they do in the books.

Wow I never read the books and realized that Korsak/Angela got together, but I always THOUGHT (even earlier in the show), they had such a great chemistry and that the writers should put them together romantically. I think the writer's missed the boat on this coupling - I was disappointed when he married Kiki (who I like) but I always wanted Korsak/Angela as end-game.
That is hilarious. She may not have kissed a woman onscreen, but you do know that she went topless in a movie before, right? What does the Republican party say about that? Or Christians?
Angie also said it was "silly" during an interview, I remember reading a report about that interview a few years ago from a reliable source, I think it was TVLine.
I'm surprised this is something anyone would dream about. I dream about the Nationals winning the World Series, the Steelers winning the Super Bowl, and the Penguins winning another Stanley Cup. I also dream about Tom Hiddleston reading Shakespeare to me (he did play Prince Hal, who became Henry V, and he gave the famous St. Crispin's Day speech!). I dream about Tyler Moore being back in MLB and Tyler Clippard coming back to the Nationals. And I'd much rather see Jane making out with Gabriel Dean (Billy Burke!) and Maura making out with Kent.

Ignore the haters and the offensive people who don't know the rules on IMDB. :) Rizolli and Isles have a lot of chemistry together. Here's the thing, we didn't get the "I love you" confession on Xena until one episode before the end of the series. I'm also not aware of a reboot. Seems cool! We have two episodes left. We're more than likely going to get the confession sooner than later. It's never over until the fat lady sings. And hey, if it doesn't work, just give me $200 million dollars so I can build a time machine and I'll fix it. :) And as an added bonus, I can use my time machine to stop some of the haters first. :)
Now, on to the other debate, Angie had said in a interview recently or so, that she likes gay people, and she knows plenty of gay people, even gay Republicans, so there's no reason to bring in religious or Republican ideas here. :)
That said, Divorce is mostly only sacrilegious to the Catholics, and even they have toned down their hatred towards it recently. There is no Religious hypocritical behavior going on with anything Angie Harmon has done in her past. Though, if you know the name of the movie she was topless in, please let me know. I am actually curious and surprised.
I'm beginning to think the attacks on her character for being Republican and religious are done by some mean people and have no merit.
