and which state are you from? I bet you have a stupid accent too.
shareBecause US Engrish is so damn important to mimick and pronounce, right? haha, give me a good ol' british or any european accent any day of the week over that whiny pretentious nonsense that is called "US English". I'm also pretty sure a big reason why Arnie is so popular over all these decades is precisely because of his strong and uncharacteristic accent LMAO
shareAm i missing something here? Did he speak any other language? 'cause I could've sworn he was speaking english the whole time.
A ship sank at the end of the movie Titanic!
yeah but it hurts the story when you're supposed to believe that the sherrif of a small town in southern US speaks with an austrian accent. and his name is Ray *beep* Owens.
shareHe used to be part of an elite special forces team. He changed his name after a mission to rescue hostages from guerrilla territory in Central America. He barely escapes the nuclear explosion and is rescued by helicopter on the mission.
shareActually, there's an array of different accents in Britain, something that usually surprises foreigners when they visit. We don't all speak like Hugh Grant. As long as Arnie is understandable in his English - which he is, perfectly - his accent is fine and makes him the character he is.
shareHe has an accent and you cant spell.............
shareI'm an Austrian and grew up roughly 2 hours away from Arnie's birth place Graz. Fact is, that grazian people already have a strong accent when speaking German. People from the eastern part of Austria do speak more clearly and accurate while people from the more southern and western parts do have a distinctive accent, even when speaking their mother tongue. That's why he can't really pronounce English correctly because he's got this thick accent anyways. I, for myself, living near to Vienna (the capitol of Ausria) do not have that much of an accent and my english is pretty good, though quite stiff and rusty when spoken due to lack of usage. But if i were to immigrate to the US, i would be able to speak close-to-perfect English in under a year. It's just a practice thing.
Just compare Arnie to Christoph Waltz. Both are Austrian. Both grew up in different places. Waltz' English is close to perfect, sure, you can hear an accent but compared to Arnie's it's a million times more accurate.
His English is still better than Sly Stallone's who is actually born here in the US!.
shareI don't have a problem with Arnie's accent. He has it in every movie he's done; most of us have just learned to accept it, even though it may not make a lot of sense. It is his trademark, and he understands that. He could probably have learned to soften his accent quite a bit, if he had applied himself to that goal 40 years ago. His command of the English language is quite good. Consider that he was the governor of California for several years; you need to know the language fairly well to work in that environment. I've heard of people living in the U.S. for decades, and they know very little English.
"My girlfriend sucked 37 d*cks!"
"In a row?"
Arnie's accent is great, sadly the OP's racist complaint does him no favour
shareYea. You would think. And what the hell was Peter Stormare doing a texan/ russian thing? I kept waiting for him to" fix da cobule".
