Why does this movie suck?

Its the same director that made "i saw the devil" and "the good the bad and the wierd" i dont get it. Studio interference?

It started out good, then they went the comedy route and that's where they lost it.

Up untill the moment that they realised that Jerry was dead it was actually a good action movie. Dont get the comedy part, so unnecessary.

Could have been a good movie; just wasn't. I can't put my finger on anything specific. I see what they were trying to go for, but it ended up being a bit meh.

I quite enjoyed it, despite having low expectations.

Maybe your low expectations helped. I think it's the kind of movie that can be enjoyed if you go into it not expecting much. It wasn't a bad movie; it just wasn't a classic Arnold movie or a great comeback film.
