This film has many similarities to Lars Von Trier's melancholia and was released at about the same time.
Does anyone know, was either film influenced by the other or did they just happen to develop simultaneously? Links to interviews with directors etc would be very helpful.
Melancholia is a masterpiece. This film is just another film. Not bad, not good, just forgettable.

I thought of Melancholia after about 15 minutes into Another Earth. Uncanny that they were completely independent of each other.

there is something missing in both films, i would say there are 2 important factors in a science fiction movie, the scientific elements and the human reaction to these elements
both these movies focus too much on the human elements for my taste
so many movies, so little time
