Well made but... Spoiler.

Predictable. The inevitable ending, which I saw coming about 10 minutes in, happened. Along the way we have a few too many drone shots and upside down images, all intended, I assume, to add to the unsettling atmosphere. And we have some good performances, some creepy moments and the general sense of J-horror as the inspiration.

Not good enough.

Yeah, the ending was predictable and a let down. I didn't get the upside down shots but it didn't really take anything away IMO. But, I found myself getting annoyed with the lead actress, probably not her fault though. Her acting was very good, but she came across completely unhinged to everyone except Joel. When she went to her sister with all that evidence of past suicides, instead of verbalizing it, she shows her sister a horrible picture of one of the victims, without explaining anything. When she went home with the evidence she didn't tell either her fiancé or therapist that she has potential proof of what is happening to her. She just continuously, throughout the whole movie, acted completely unhinged and couldn't put sentences together to explain anything to anyone except Joel. That's not the fault of the actress, it's the writing which I found very irritating. Aside from that and the ending, I didn't think it was a bad movie. It did have a lot of jump scares which I don't normally react to but in this movie, I did. I'm definitely glad I watched it.

She comes across as unhinged in large part because no one expresses any empathy towards her, not even her fiance!

You are probably right but I would expect that situation to create a sense of outraged empathy. Instead, I was seeing the point of most of the people who were behaving that way toward her. Maybe something in the writing or her performance. Kinda like Jack Torrance coming across as unsympathetic and edgy from the get go in The Shining.

Yeah, her fiance was a POS, but her communication skills were sorely lacking.
