I tried to watch several times, but..
..this movie is insufferable. I decided to rewatch Quiz Show(1994) again, miles better than this shite.

shareI couldn't finish it, and there's no way I'd try again. The movie is all over the place, crammed with too much unfocused dialogue.
shareA lot of Nolan films are like this. Meandering pace and dialogue, pretentious monologuing, poor sound mixing, a score that insists that the most important part of the movie is happening ͢f͢o͢r͢ ͢t͢h͢e͢ ͢e͢n͢t͢i͢r͢e͢ ͢r͢u͢n͢-͢t͢i͢m͢e͢. How do people keep giving him money?
shareThe musical soundtrack playing nonstop over even uneventful scenes makes it virtually impossible to understand what they're mumbling about. Yes, they mumble. A good director will make sure the actors don't mumble.
shareAh, thank you. I forgot to add mumbling or unnecessarily quiet performances to my list, but yes, that's also been a common theme among Nolan films. I can only assume he instructs them to speak that way, as most of the actors in his films are quite accomplished and don't perform this way in other films.
shareI thought several times about pausing the movie on Prime and picking it up the next day it was so boring, but I said to myself: 'If you paid to see this movie in the theaters, you wouldn't (couldn't) do that, and if you pause it now, you'll never resume it.' So I watched the whole thing in one sitting. I don't know that I made the right choice ...
shareI give you credit, you did it. You actually finished the movie and in a weird way it reminds me of paying some ungodly $20 to see Interstellar(Nolan again!) in IMAX back in 2014. Not to bash a Nolan movie just because it's Nolan but Interstellar was so fucking dumbed down and boring I didn't even follow the plot.
I knew it was a long movie of about 2.5 hours so towards the end(last 20 minutes)I looked at my watch and just said fuck it and walked out. I really can't tell you anything about that movie at all except they find some NASA type organization hiding in a field and a ridiculous scene where the black astronaut is much older because of some time travel/portal thing and he looks weary with a gray/silver beard to make himself look older. Sorry to write this esp. if you're a Nolan fan I'll admit Memento and TDK are pretty good movies.
