Now that was fun!

A bloody good time, very entertaining. I loved the nuevo-gothic sets, the black and white, the lighting and shadows and I thought (spoiler) Man-Thing looked great! It left me wanting more. No woke crap and no social messaging.

Yes, this was a pleasant surprise, and it was kind of off my radar. They covered a lot of ground in under an hour. I had no idea Man thing was in this. Is the girl with the bloodstone also a character from the comics? They also got around the blood issue by having it in black and white. I really wish they would go full R-rated with this stuff though. It needs it.

This was something really geniunely fresh and smartly put together.

Yes apparently she is but its outside my knowledge. I had a few WBN comics way back in the day but if I had a quarter I was always going with Spider-Man. Its the first Marvel project in a while I was able to watch. I havent liked anything since The Hawkeye show which was last Christmas.

reply

yeah, I liked Hawkeye too. People slate it for some reason, the only bad thing was King Pin. All of the characters were excellent otherwise.

reply

It was fun. The next thing I am looking forward to in terms of shows is Secret Wars but not much else.

reply

It was average.

reply

You're average.

What are you, 5?

SPOILERS

It wasn't. Typical plastic CGI, unimaginative monsters and flat jokes. Makes no sense either. Wasting the precious lives of the hunters in a free for all for the damn stone and the stupid wolfman unaware that the stone is bad for him trying to grab it... Wtf.

They had a chance to really do something interesting with it if they went with practical old school FX, but know it looks like trying but failing to be different.

I know that I'm supposed to have fun when movies are shilled to me as fun, so that there must be something wrong with me. I usually avoid comic books "movies" in general, so maybe it is not my cup of tea.

The guy who played the wolfman was good and it is an easy watch (being the main concern of comics movie) so I give it 6.5/10.

Well, considering the werewolf, and a number of other things, were created using practical effects and not CGI, I'd hardly say this is a "typical plastic CGI" film. Had you actually watched it, you'd know that, unless you are unable to tell one from the other...

Say no more.

reply

Could it be that the Warewolf guy knew what would happen with the stone, and it was all a chance to destroy the hunters?

reply

I avoided this one until today. They need to make more. Marvel Studios should make one about Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye and Ronin, that would be great. Aside from the wonderful extended cut of Spider-Man No Way Home, I really love Werewolf by Night, enjoyed it way more than all the actual MCU released this year. 8/10

Most people I know have not watched Werewolf by Night, and don't care for it, or gave up following the MCU movies and shows.
