H20 is Better than this lame retcon

Yes. H20 is cheesy compared to the films that came before, but it at least stayed true to the continuity of the series and knew what kind of movie it was. These more recent movies don’t know what they want to be. They also act like they are the “true” sequel to the original Halloween even though stylistically and thematically they are not the same. Also it doesn’t make sense for Laurie to be a crazy survivalist when in the continuity of the new films, Halloween 1978 (minus everything that happened in the hospital) was Michael’s only killing spree and he was captured, so thinking that Michael is an unstoppable force that will always return only makes sense if there were multiple times Michael has returned to kill people.

Absolutely! H20 was slick, had a great cast, and a great ending and it did it in under 90 minutes. This new trilogy did nothing except frustrate and degrade the franchise.
