That's a bit of a disappointment. I figured it would have the "authenticity". Oh well, I still love this show.

What about the mine that Boyd went to work in? Where is that located?

Or why they didn't just stick to good ol Pennsylvania. Hell, we got mountains. Plenty of them, too. Western PA (where I'm located and where the pilot was shot) is part of Appalachia.

While it wasn't filmed their they did their best to keep to it's appearances that it really was filmed there. They take a lot of the really tiny details and add them to the show as much as they could.
