Real great adventure movie, a much better energetic youth throwback than Super 8. Don't be put off by the accents, it's just pure fun. I loved it, one of my favourites now! I couldn't help but give it a 10.

shareI just bought the DVD: I liked it at the cinema I thought it was really cool but watching it again I thought it was terrible and gave up after about 20 minutes.
I would add though I didn't mind them being chavs or gangsters or being black either
To each his own then, I thought it was great fun and the FX were good for a low budget film, only wished Nick Frost had more screentime.

The actors were wonderful, very, very good. The explanation about who the aliens were and where they came from was just silly, but you need to overlook that and enjoy the action. However, you probably need to enable the subtitles to understand what the kids are saying--you'll enjoy it much more that way. It's not exactly a comedy, but it's fun.
