There were white kids in this film, the white gangsters were relatively nice. Even the white stoner and dope dealer was nice and amusing. It was just these black people with guns and knives that were nasty. The film was written and directed by a middle class white man!

Its that man again!!

The only two real gangsters in the film were Hi-Hat and his bodyguard---no one else in the film were actual gangsters, FYI.

And your point being, what? The director also either lived or came from the part of London the film was show,BTW.

reply

Well if you made them a purely white gang most chances are they are racists too... making them less sympattetic.

You will struggle to find many all white groups of teen gangs in most estates in London in my experience.

Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

reply

Ha well I think they just need to make Moses a handsome white kid. That would change their opinions. Hahaha

well atleast we could understand a word they said

It's similar in the US for people from other places too, not just African-Americans. Frequently they will complain about how things are better in the country they are from ("in my country a woman would never dare speak to a man like that", "in my country you don't have to have insurance to get heart surgery at a good hospital", "in my country rent would never by that much", etc.) I finally just said "if things are so much better in your country, what the hell are you doing in mine? You're free to go back, you know." Their response was "we'll we can't because we're persecuted there"; well it looks like they decided that being persecuted was worse than having women speak back to men, having to go to the county hospital for their FREE heart surgery, & the cost of rent so they just need to quit whining about it.

Although suggesting that African-Americans go back to Africa isn't really realistic. Most that are in the US are descendants of people that have been there for hundreds of years and most of their ancestors didn't really have a say in whether they came or not. So, there really is no "there" for them to go back to since they're might not even be records of what part of Africa they were originally from (and that's even assuming that in the past several hundred years there wasn't some intermingling with other African-Americans that came from other parts of Africa). And even if there are records, chances are they don't know the language and have no idea about the culture there so they won't fit in there.

Whoa, you really don't know a lot about that, do you? A bunch of African-Americans have actually gone back to Africa to live over the years, and stayed there, because they got tired of the prejudice here. To say they had nothing to go back to is ridiculous, and they obviously learned the language of where they moved either before or after they moved there. Hell, there have been Arab-Americans who go back to the Middle East to live, too. Do your research before you make such big assumptions about what black people do and not do,please. As a black person, I'm tired of people who make big sweeping pronounciations about us that don't know jack about us.
