Shouldn't Indy have cancer?
Indy was involved in a nuclear explosion in the previous film. Wouldn't the radiation have caused him to develop cancer by the time of Dial of Destiny?

shareIgnoring all the silliness with the lead lined refrigerator, did the physicists who observed the Trinity detonation develop cancer en masse?
shareShouldn't he have had gotten injured from getting pulled on a rope by a speeding car in Raiders?
Shouldn't he have had broken bones from jumping out of an airplane thousands of feet in the air onto a raft in Temple of Doom?
See what I did there. He survives ridiculous things before so why not a nuclear bomb?
Well he drank from the grail and even tho he had to remain in the temple to be immortal it probably still protected him from stuff like that
shareI like how in the scene in the cave, he complains to Helena about his age and the punishment he has been through in life. Seemed to neglect mentioning experiencing a nuclear bomb which is quite a biggie.
shareNot everyone who is exposed to radiation will necessarily get cancer.
shareWould you like him to have cancer?
shareWhen I ask myself - "Would I rather have watched a film about Indy suffering terminal cancer and coming to terms with his mortality - rather than Dial of Destiny?" -- I honestly have to call it a toss-up. Dial of Destiny is such a mediocre piece of "product" that I only remember fragments of it, and not one single thing impressed me positively.
shareThe TC hates both the 4th one and this one and wishes they both didn't exist.
