Soooo much hugging

I just watched all 4 seasons in a row.

Everyone is constantly hugging and nothing really falls from the sky.

Some thoughts.
Seems like the writers were making things up as they go.

Skitters are bad. Skitters are mind controlled also No, skitters are bad, some are good. Skitters are all bad again. Pope is bad. Pope is a chef. Pope is bad. Pope is leaving. Pope is back. Harnesses control kids to look for scrap metal. No wait, it's a mosquito. No it, just the spikes. Now it's a harness again. Charlotte is good. Charlotte is bad. Volm are here to save the day. Volm are bad. Volm are good but busy. Volm are gone. Let's cut a wire to disable a fence. The power comes wirelessly from the moon.

I can't even wrap my brain around the mess that Lexi is and the useless episode with the cocoon.

I can be sure of one thing: even if Falling Skies can never be considered a show of consistent quality I know at least that I found the OP of this thread very entertaining. 😀

Dare I say that maybe the fact that Volm and Lexi are entertaining diversions in their own individual ways (as well as supplying an interesting subtextual cross-show narrative discourse with shows like "Game of Thrones" and "Defiance") mitigates some of the implausabilities that might be construed from the show's handling of characters or plotlines.

There is too much hugging though - we don't need that much reinforcement to understand what we can perfectly well interpret from characters and their relationships.

At least they don't run around holding hands every other episode like in Doctor Who.

I couldn't atop grinning at this. Excellent Summary!

I'm surprised no one has edited together a compilation of all of hugging throughout the series. It would probably be an hour long at least.
