There are modern Day Christians capable of cruel things that go against the teachings of the man that the religion is based on, so couldn't it be possible there are witches capable of the same evil?

Yes! Thank you, Satan is most definitely a Christian Concept (to a certain extent) and has absolutely nothing to do with Wicca. Although I enjoyed this movie, I am definitely tired of people making these ignorantly archaic connections.
