Peter's Worst Sins

The show opens with Peter's infidelities on display and I wasn't angry with the character. I guess it shows how far politicians have sunk that we don't even bat an eye when they cheat on their wives. Also, it wasn't MY husband or I would've felt diffently.
As the one character (forget his name) said to Eli Gold in season three, "Follow a politician around and you're sure to find a nanny, intern, hooker or mistress."

It's funny but sad and true. Lots of men with power feel entitled.

But I really HATE bullies who use their position unfairly. Peter is a bully and a self entitled arrogant one at that.

In a third season episode, the Florrick children couldn't get into a private school because there were no openings. The parents were told "Probably next year." Private school is just that, private. They don't have to take everyone.

So Peter storms the principal's office to bully her into allowing his children to get in! He has "dirt" on some of the teaching staff.

"I AM the state's attorney!"
What an arrogant a-hole! The whoremonger who also slept with a staff member (Kalinda) is going to use blackmail to get his way.

I was so angry when the intimidated principal just nodded meekly. If it had been me, I would have been furious. I would've gotten myself a lawyer and then gone on every local talk show who would listen to my story. Of course Eli Gold would spin it and try to destroy me. But I like to think I'd do as much damage as I could to Peter on my way down. I detest bullies especially deeply flawed ones who have no right to go after someone else's sins.
