She's P-H-A-T . Seriously. I almost feel bad looking at her BC she's young but she's on the TV so. .. What I really love/think is hilarious is (both stated this in interviews) that in real life She's more like Sarah (Haley's character) and Sarah is more like Alex's (Winters.) Both are beautiful young, talented actresses.

It doesn't matter what she looks like. The character she plays on "Modern Family" is so extraordinarily unpleasant that nobody could like her, let alone love her.

I have no doubt that you do. In the "real" world that the character Alex inhabits, she is smug, condescending, and cruel to everyone, especially her immediate family members. If you could somehow enter that world and encounter Alex, it's very likely she would treat you like crap. People like her are not often liked.
