Dead grandma at the dinner table
I must've missed something or am confused, but was that not the grandma that died earlier who was later sitting at the dinner table with Sam's girlfriend?

sharethat was speilberg's mother.
shareThe chubby grandma was Mitzi’s Mom, and she dies in the film in the hospital scene.
The slimmer Grandma is Burt’s Mom and she appears later in the film looking a little older than before. She is the one who makes the typical MIL remark about the plastic forks and “what’s she saving the silverware for, when the Eisenhauer’s visit?”
She was also onto 'uncle' Benny right from the start - it came across as cruel at first, but in retrospect, we see what she saw - it was one merciful subtlety in that unmercifully unsubtle film.
shareI see, I guess I got my grandmas confused.
