Is anyone actually satisfied with the ending?

I want to hear from people that are cool with the way things ended.

I just read an interview with the showrunner on TVLine and the logic behind his decisions sound reasonable to me. I'm OK with it.

Not at all.

I did not enjoy the finale, I think the Dexter coaching Harrison on how to murder murderers angle had legs and could have made for a couple more fine seasons

Oh well, it was pretty good anyway

Agreed, a season or two of that I would have liked to see.

Then Harrison finds out that Dexter killed Logan and then end it. This was all very rushed and denied us some potentially good future seasons just like Game of Thrones did.

I’m okay with it, although would have tweaked it a bit.

After killing Logan Dexter takes his gun.

Things play out the same only Harrison can’t go through with shooting Dexter. Angela turns up and Dexter realising it’s over pulls Logan’s gun out and does suicide by cop.

Harrison shooting Dexter was the most predictable and lazy way to kill off Dexter and it made Dexter even more unlikeable after everything he put Harrison through.

How’s Audrey going to to cover for Harrison on this? He’s nowhere to be seen, Dexter’s truck is gone and Dexter’s bullet wound would have been from a rifle.

I can forgive sloppy writing throughout the show but when it’s the last 10 minutes of the final ever episode it’s just annoying. So yeah I’m okay with the ending, but after such a long wait this whole season should’ve been so much better and just being ‘okay’ with the ending shows it’s a letdown for me.

Oh and the showrunner Clyde Phillips seems well proud of this ending in that interview, like this had the Breaking Bad or The Sopranos of finales. He did better than the Dexter season 8 finale, but not by much.
