Is Jack Leaving?
They seem to be phasing him out. Or does George Eads just have some other projects going on and they are trying to accommodate his schedule?

shareEads is out. News broke yesterday.
shareOuch. Just read some of the articles. Doesn't look amicable.
shareSeems a lot like the Scott Caan Hawaii Five 0 situation. He's got a family back in LA and he's sick of spending all his time in Atlanta and he's acting out about it. Show won't be no good without him. The weakest part of MacGyver is MacGyver himself. Jack breaths all the life into the series. I already stopped watching this season. I got a feeling the show will stick around though. They've been beefing up the ensemble cast for a while and i'm sure they'll cast a good actor to replace him.
shareActually with Last Ship done, they could have a good candidate in Emerson Brooks.
shareThat's the handsome young black guy? Yeah, I could totally see that.
shareHeard a rumor that Emerson Brooks asked to be written off when he didn't get the job. Wonder if that's true or mix up on how he left Last Ship?
shareWell last night he said his replacement is a "she" and someone he could trust. Maybe Nikki or Samantha coming back?

I wonder why they hinted that he might return if he's leaving the show for good. They should have made his departure more final.
The departure actually was amicable.
They're leaving it open for him to return. Maybe only on occasion like in the original series rather than have him on all the time.
Anybody find Friday's night (12-7-18) episode kind of bittersweet. Jack comforts Maddie telling her basically that he'll always be there for her when he is in fact leaving.
shareAt least he wasn't killed off. It's sad that he left, because he played a big part in the reboot. I liked the contrast in age and intellect between Mac & Jack.
