I just started watching and the girl went on dial-up internet using one of those 90s computers and searched using a really old version of Yahoo.

It doesn't say on IMDb what year it's based in. I'm assuming 90s but specifically mid 90s?

They kids sing the Green Day song Good Riddance which came out in 1997 so it can't be any earlier than that.
