Woke crap

"The message".

The Addams family used to mock the 'normies' and societal norms and now Wednesday is used to push contemporary agendas. Patriarchy and colonization bad.

Lots of "normality" here for a character that is supposed to point out the absurdities of... normality.

I basically blocked all the progressives, so don't bother replying if you get offended by my opinion, chances are I won't be able to read your crap anywyay.

All these people calling this dude an incel actually watched Wednesday 2022 and see no sense of inner reflection.

lol. Good point.

IMO, the show does have woke elements. And would be better without them. It does have some counterbalancing though, ,which is rare. THe Black kid being the son of the owner of hte local "bad" corporation, ie Puritan World, was a pleasant surprise.

One woke element which was painfully stupid, was the bit with the head of the school getting offended by the sherrif suspecting the school in the murders in the forest. You have multiple werewolves in teh school. The sherrif is very much right to suspect the school's students (or staff).

Thanks for the offer. I have been really tempted by some computer games out there, right now. Specifically 30k Demonhunter. Watched Mighty Jingles playthough with buddy. Looks great.

I wasn't happy with all the forced woke stuff; it was so unnecessary. I had no issues with the casting; everyone was great. I think my annoyances came when they felt the need to add stuff into the conversation. Wednesday says a line like 'are you MANSPLAINING' something to me? it was obnoxious. Or how all the good guys were the women and all the bad guys ended up being the men. The one guy I actually routed for and liked turned out to be the villain while the one with the creepy rapey eyes was the 'better choice'. shrouded in mystery until the end...it was really weird. And how it was supposed to be all the girls that asked the boys to the dance...unless it was a Sadie Hawkins or something it just came off weird. I'm not saying women can't ask guys out but mix it up so it doesn't come off so obvious you're trying to make a point about genderism. The boys came off very feminized in order to boost up the strong female characters.

I'm not saying it completely ruined the show for me, it was just something I was noticing as the series went on. This probably could have been a 6 episode series instead of 8.

Just like most shows in the last few years. I understand why people have been criticizing many shows, I know a lot of people have and you should too, and say "many shows have been intentionally created for that small percentage group of viewers" and "that's how they lose the majority of the audience" like many shows that's not been renewed or deservedly cancelled. Although this Wednesday show is entertaining enough to be good and watchable in my opinion. I know some people stopped watching the show because of the "two moms", and all don't want their kids to be viewing the show. For season two, as long as the writers focus more in a really good script first than anything else, because if not, people might not watch a third season and lose viewers like so many shows.
