Feeling a bit past her prime at 27...

Even in the world of professional athletes that's still a bit young to be feeling "past your prime"!!

EDIT: This is in reference to the trailer description.

It is weird that Wilson is 41 playing an athlete, but Reese's character is so past her prime at 27. How old is Wilson suppose to be?

And BTW-Owen Wilson does not look like a professional athlete.

Meh, this is an old thread, but she looks very good for her age. Actors are always cast in roles, playing characters younger than their actual ages. I'm not even going to start listing them since there are so many.

I felt the same way! I agree with other posters that 27 was old a generation ago. I am 25 my boyfriend is 27 and we are still living like college kids. Oh wait I am still in college. 37 seems more plausible but in this day and age and the economy, I know alot of people who had to move back home with their parents.

WTF. THAT'S SO *beep* RETARDED. 27 is past your prime...AND they mid-thirtees actress play the part? Jeez. Tards. Nothing against Reese, though.

being a professional softball player myself, trust me, not many of us make it past the 27 year old mark. dont get me wrong, 27 is pretty young in the baseball world, and most pro baseball players are just getting started around 25. although closely related to baseball, as far as the professional world goes, it is waaaay different. just thought that i would throw in my two cents about it!

If I remember the beginning of the movie correctly, she is actually 31 in the movie. I could be wrong, but I feel like I distinctly heard them say that she's 31 when the softball brass is discussing keeping her on the team.

In the script she's 27, in the film 31, they read our thread here and changed it~

yeah they said she was 31 in the film

and don't they mean past her prime in the sense of sports?

PS Paul Rudd is cute! xD

reply

In the movie she is 31. I just saw it yesterday

This is why some celebrities go under the knife because of Hollywood ageism. Its like a real Logans Run. Its wrong to get old, whatever.

reply

What's stupid is that the best looking actors and actresses that stay looking good for longer, do it by keeping in shape and eating healthily. A MUCH better image to promote to the younger generations about how to look and feel good.

Don't trust the storyline.

I swear in the movie, the owner/head coach/whatever he is said that she is 31 and runs .3 seconds slower than the other teammates to first base. So she's not 27...

reply

She is definitely 31 in the movie. I saw it yesterday. However, I would like to point out, I don't care if she can't play 27 or not, she is HOT!!!!!!
