Since one would assume HAWAII also has a UNIVERSITY or another College that PAULA could transfer to (as a way to be near KAI), and therefore still also maintain the kind of a lifestyle that she has in mind, this isn't really an EITHER/OR situation -- due to the way that she can probably accomplish both her GOAL and be with KAI if she really wanted to.
But since we also don't know anything about her background, or know if her parents are also RICH or NOT, we also don't know how she pays her way through college. And for all we know she may also already be working at least part time as a waitress as a way to get her degree.
And Her trying to HIDE her relationship with KAI (especially after she also already knows now that OLIVIA knows about them seeing each other), is also pretty silly.
What she needs to do is confront her friend and tell her how she really feels about her BUTTING IN and asking her questions that she doesn't want to answer.
Because we also know that OLIVIA also knows the reason why PAULA didn't want her to know that she was seeing Kai (due to the way OLIVIA also said that she wouldn't try to steal another BF from her again like she'd done before).
So what she should have done was tell OLIVIA it was NONE of BUSINESS where she'd been or what she was doing each time that she kept prying and she asked her such questions.
At least that's the way I see it.

That's the problem with not knowing anything about PAULA, or if her parents are also RICH FOLKS or not.
Because if she also comes from a wealthy family (who are also paying for her COLLEGE EDUCATION), then it's also possible that her parents may also be paying for the cost of her trip to HAWAII as well (at least for the round trip air fare).
And since she's also sleeping on the LIVING ROOM COUCH (in a space where no one else in the family would be sleeping anyhow), it's probably also NOT costing OLIVIA's parents anything extra to have her staying with them.
Because we also heard the other meal was some kind of an all you can eat buffet (which SHANE also took advantage of when he piles his plate full of food).
So one also gets the impression the meals may also be included with costs of the room (except for in the case when you charter a boat and then eat a meal on it).
In other words, if PAULA's parents paid for her air fare, then it may also not be costing OLIVIA's parents anything EXTRA at all to have PAULA staying with them.
Not unless you consider how she's responsible for the $75,000 worth of JEWELRY that's been stolen by KAI.

In the PREVIEW CLIP for Sunday you see her sitting down on what looks like the deck of a BOAT and it also looks she's upset and is crying.
So imagine if she gets into a fight with OLIVIA and she falls overboard.
Add that to them finding out Paula's the one who got KAI to steal their jewelry and there's no way one can see them still willing to FLY back home again with PAULA.
And since KAI also used that MASTER CARD KEY as a way to get inside of their HOTEL ROOM when he steals the jewelry, that's probably also going to mean it will be very easy for them to figure out he's the one who did it.
Because that Master Card KEY probably also has a code on it that will lead them directly back to KAI.
And Olivia also already knows PAULA had something to do with the ROBBERY due to the way she asked her to put the other necklace she said her grandmother gave her into the safe.
Someone else also suggested that Olivia's going to use that other necklace as a way to try and make it look like ARMOND is the one who ROBBED them (as a way to pay him back for stealing their STASH of DRUGS from them).
So imagine how much more ANGRY ARMOND is going to be if both SHANE and OLIVIA try to get him fired on SUNDAY !!!

Since Olivia already knows about PAULA seeing KAI, it makes no sense that she removes the necklace as a way to keep Olivia from knowing that she's seeing him when she's already aware of it.
Since Paula's other necklace is also missing and KAI didn't take it, Olivia will probably try to PLANT it on ARMOND as a way to try and blame him for the ROBBERY (as a way to get even with him for stealing the drugs).
And that's probably also the reason why we see ARMOND and the other 2 employees having an INSURRECTION in the PREVIEW clip.
After what Armond's already been through with SHANE, It also wouldn't surprise me a bit if they end up BURNING DOWN the entire place !!!

And the RICH lady from Season 1 (who says she's willing to pay for the other employee to own her own salon as a way to butt in front of other customers) is also in Season 2.
