At first I thought it must be the guy’s bride because he is travelling alone, but that is too obvious. She probably leaves him at some point, perhaps because he is responsible for this death in some way.
My next guess is the Dad because he thinks his death is imminent anyway. Again might be too obvious.
The body is being flown from Maui to Oahu so that doesn’t rule out staff.
i initially thought it was the wife and the show would show what happened. There doesn't always have to be a twist. But then i thought about it and every show/movie has a twist. So my guess is one of the Germans. Actually i have no clue yet.

shareIt might be the BODY of THE MOTHER who comes there to the ISLAND to help her son try to get the HONEYMOON ROOM that she claims she's paid for.
That would also explain the reason why the STORY begins with the GROOM telling that other couple to LEAVE HIM ALONE before we see him walk over to the window and watch them load the coffin.
I'm also thinking Oahu might be a place where they TRANSFER the body to another flight, or maybe the FUNERAL HOME there would EMBALM it before it can be flown elsewhere???
Because he also said that the flight there had been 12 HOURS long and bodies can also DECAY quite a bit during that length of time.

Nothing like a late arrival to shake things up: Shane's mother Kitty (Molly Shannon) has yet to appear at the White Lotus resort, but she does show up eventually according to the season preview. Her death would make a lot of sense considering Shane's emotional state at the airport and the fact that the body is also on his flight. Aside from Armand and Rachel, she is character who is most likely to die.

shareThe hotel manager , killed involuntary by the kind wife of the arrogant wealthy guy , exactly because she is so nice and was on the manager's side having her husband forget about the wrong room situation , it would be ridiculously ironic that things escalate and that she would be the one killing him inadvertently , the wealthy guy at the airport is leaving alone because his wife is in jail.

I think it might be Belinda, who has a son in college (U of Hawaii Honolulu) and is constantly getting in between Armond and impending disaster. She is hot instead of Shane, or protecting Shane, and Armond then shoots himself.
If Rachel were in jail do we think that Shane would really be leaving her there? He looks pretty wrecked in the airport.
He may be headed to Honolulu, where Rachel would stand trial.
That or Belinda dying supports White's satire--that the rich play with people and the poor suffer all the consequences. Which is what his other movies have been about.

I have tried to "uncover the twist" in other mysteries and always end up being wrong, with the obvious answer being the answer with a not-so-expected story behind it. Like an accident. I think it's Rachel, who swam out and was eaten by the sharks, or it's Quinn, and Rachel tried to get Shane to save him, snd he didn't, and Rachel left Shane as a result. Which explains why Shane is so upset at the human remains and is alone at the airport. When taking these two thinks into account, there has to be a reason he'd be this upset if anyone in the box isn't either his mom or Rachel.

shareI think the baby shark thing was probably Armond amusing himself by screwing with the heads of wealthy tourists who don't know anything about Maui. We find out later the contempt he holds for most of them when he quotes from Tennyson's "The Lotos-Eaters".
