I like movie 43
Am I the only one? I'm watching it right now (about 1 hour in) it's in bad taste but so what? The hate this got seems manufactured

shareThe "hate" wasn't manufactured, it was deserved.
The main issue with this movie is there aren't any jokes. There are scenes that are supposed to be funny because of something odd or strange in them but there's no payoff. It's like they thought the setup of Hugh Jackman having balls on his chin would be all they needed. Hell, it's so lazy they ripped off South Park for that. The only difference is that in South Park they had a reason for it and it was part of a larger gag, not just a gag in itself.
It's like the Seltzer and Freidberg movies. They don't have jokes. They have setups. They make references to other movies or celebrities but that's not a joke. A good example is I believe in Epic Movie when one of them mentions needing help and we see the shadow of Indiana Jones appear on the wall, the camera pans over and it's a midget. That's not a joke. The joke would be if they called him Indiana Jones and he replied with, "No! I'm Illinois Smith!" I never said that was a good joke but at least it is one.
That's all this movie was. One stupid scene with no real setup or payoff. Dennis Quaid talking to a producer. Cut to the next scene. Rinse and repeat.
I laughed a lot. I mean it is a stoner flick that satires different movie genres. What do people expect? a 10/10 movie?
shareI love it! Especuially Kate Winslet's date, Hugh Jackman;'s testicles, and a guy *beep* on his girlfriend.
