You are all certainly entitled to your opionion, but think about this:
Actors are doing just THAT---acting a part, NOT portraying themselves. It's the character that you find annoying; and, as I say, you are welcome to feel that way. Just don't characterize Miss Knightley as being like Penny.
Besides, have you seen this girl in a bikini?!?!?! HAWT!!!! Great legs, body, and a**. Well, OK, a bit small-breasted; but, I must confess I'm a leg man!
I'm opposite of the "Keira haters" that Axel is referring to - who don't like her in this particular instance. I don't think she's very good in other movies, especially A DANGEROUS METHOD, but I enjoyed her performance in this one.

I'm not much of a Keira fan. But she eventually won me over.
This movie was filled with good actors!
I found her acting in this role to be utterly charming. I can see why Steve Carrell's character fell for her.

She is awesome. She has been a wonderful actress in so many movies.
Yeah. I could think of much worse ways to say this, but phooey on those who have some kinda problem with Keira. She's a Babe, AND by her incredible acting, some of us have felt we were in, and lived, movies she has starred in.
There should be no greater reward for an actor/actress than knowing they played a part so well that the audience forgot all else and became one with what they were watching.... Keira Knightly has done that so well :)
Getting older sucks, but it does have advantages....
I have watched actors and actresses in movies and on tv shows for 30 something years now. Keira is just as good as the best of any I've seen.
Haters... Re haters... No matter who you are or what you do, right or wrong, there will always be those who are so damaged that they will try to tear you down. They can say terrible things. No one is immune.
I just hope Keira keeps on acting and taking us away from our often mundane existence when she does so. I look forward to the next part she plays.....

Keira has become one of my favorite actresses. She is so stunning and could have relied on her beauty. She has been in such great movies. I have never seen her do bad job at acting. Her acting may not be everyone cup of tea and that's fine with me. It won't stop her from being one of my favorite actresses. They can enjoy other actresses.
