Hey guys, its Batgirl, and i totally agree. This movie is terrible!

reply

Bridesmaids was ok.
Hated The Heat.
Loathed this.

Take away the politics and the controversy, the fact it was a reboot was bad enough and the film alone was horrible.

reply

LOL I won't even see this movie until it is free on cable. I saw the trailers and I said WTdF is this.

I didn't think Bridemaids was all that. I barely laughed to be honest.
I fell asleep during Heat. I won't bother with Spy.

I'll stick with 1984 GB. I won't even buy GB2016 on DVD. Hell I am still regretting buying Jurassic World on dvd.

((Damn the remakes, Save the originals.))

Any true lady fan who is a fan of the original GB and know good quality smart filmmaking like the original and dislikes this, I'm glad this piece of *beep* flopped in theaters everywhere! this movie was a poorly written, unfunny, juvenile, sexist, racist, tasteless, braindead attempt at a remake of a classic comedy that didn't need remaking and this one was like a bad SNL parody than an actual movie. The original movie had a brilliant well written intelligent script with quality smart humor/dialog and this remake's script is soo horrible/unfunny/badly written that it's just pop culture references in your face and not an inch of intelligence.

Bad pacing too and poor CGI like a PS2 game, i'm glad this braindead and badly written movie flopped in theaters and should teach Hollywood that sometimes some dead franchises need to be left alone and let the original movie be cherished/loved by generations and the new one forgotten, Jud Crandall in Pet Sematary did once said "sometimes dead is better" and move on to new IPs

So far Ghostbusters has come up in conversations with 3 of my female friends. The opinions were:
"Oh god, I'm never gonna watch this shít"
"It was shallow and boring"
"I wish I had never gone to see this movie"

Sure it's a small sample group, but according to LetThemEatCake all my female friends, or at least the ones that mentioned Ghostbusters, must be women hating boys oO

reply

Yeah, people like LetThemEatCake, Jenniferinfl82, patrick_bateman_90056, TerrorTribble and UnvoicedApollo1 would probably call you an "internalized misogynist" or a "Self-hating woman". In their narrow-minded, deluded world, ALL women think like they do and ALL men are sexist and ALL people should love this movie. They are beyond delusional and probably reeling form the fact that their precious movie bombed, since it has shattered their once rose-colored perception of the world and it's now turning their universe upside-down. They can't comprehend that not all women think bashing men is funny and that somehow, people hate this reboot simply because its a stupid, poorly-marketed, horribly scripted, badly acted, soulless cash-grabbing reboot. They're in their denial stage of grief, the final stage is acceptance, wonder how long it will take till they get there...

There is no such thing as a "reboot", this is a remake! it's an unnecessary one too.

Reboot, remake....same difference. Different terms for the same thing. You understand what I mean and so does everyone else, don't you? So a little thing like that is irrelevant, at least to me.

"Knock knock... Who's there? Beak... Beak who? Because I'm Batman!"

reply

And why? ...BECAUSE SHE'S BATWOMAAAAN!

reply

I'm female. I didn't care about the sexism (I don't care about sexism against women in other films either. They're just movies, people)

I found it very unfunny. I didn't laugh once and the only likable character was Kevin.
