Looking for a film for me and my son.

I am a father with a young son who is coming up to 6. Unfortunately I feel like my son has been becoming ever more distant lately, and so was looking at ways to reconnect with him and try to strengthen our father/son relationship. I had heard that this was a family film with a particular scene of a father expressing his love for his son, and so was thinking this would be a good choice for the both of us to watch, and in turn let him know how much I love him.

Would you recommend it?

You should share this experience with your beautiful son. I don't have any children, but I do live in an ice cream truck with a child sized mannequin. His name is Skip, and he has human hair. This is our favorite film. My dog doesn't like it though, but what does he know? He thinks Owen Wilson and Ellen DeGeneres are the same guy.

Definitely. A much, much better family film than "Frozen".

I wouldn't recommend it. Yes, there are bonding scenes that are sweet, like when the son asks dad about the little wheels turning inside his privates and the way his father lovingly dissuades his boy from pleasuring himself in public. However, towards the end of the movie, the father unwittingly engages in the act of intercourse with his son and does so quite forcefully. Blood can bee seen drizzling from the child's anus. The whole thing seems to cause a lot of stress in the family and it all ends with a murder suicide.
