The fact that no one has even answered this speaks volumes. No sequel, Probably make no more than 55 mil opening weekend. 150 total. Ww. 375. This movie wont work without ties to Spiderman....shame really. Especially since superhero films are getting to their saturation point. Dx already mulling reboot and Marvel is getting Top Heavy and we have how many super hero tv series clogging up tv and the subscription services now????
shareI don't think there is saturation over superhero films Marvel is still strong and alot of people are interested in Aquaman and Shazam!. So I think this genre is going longer.

Sure Marvel Movies make way more but they also have 200-250M budgets along with heftier marketing costs.

Well looks like Manofsteel was the closest on the opening weekend almost right on the money with 80M and RT Audience Score 80% to 88% actual. Probably over on the overall Dom and WW. Be interesting to see how it settles. Probably around 200M DOM and 600 WW.
I guess I win the RT Critics score prediction even tho its still way high.
I think that Domestic will be 200M more likely now. WW will be difficult.

As far as its reception goes, I’m delighted to see how overwhelmingly positive the audience score is —it’s also received good audience scores on other sites. The unimpressed critics might have spoken (many I say misunderstood this thing), but when all is said and done this film sure defied the odds. Round of applause!
Without a doubt this film didn´t deserved the bad reviews it received but critics are humans too.

This thing unarguably blew way past anyone’s expectations. The power of Venom! Concerning Sony and Marvel.... when all is said and done, the movie clearly connected with audiences and the overall appeal of the character proved to be big. The Marvel film world only continues to shine. Awesome.
