Why did the Samoan guy freak out in the car?

When Donny gets caught, the Samoan guy calls Merriman to say that Donny got burnt. The Samoan then says that he’s clean and would like to know where to go. Merriman hangs up, thinking the Samoan is burnt. The Samoan then screams in anger

But as we find out, the Samoan was in cahoots with Donny all along. He’s with Donny in London. Since the Samoan knows the plan centers on Donny, not Merriman, then he had no reason to get mad that Merriman hung up

The Samoan might have been acting to maintain the illusion that he was loyal to Merriman. By reacting angrily when Merriman hung up, he reinforced the idea that he was committed to the heist and frustrated about being "burnt." This would ensure that Merriman and others wouldn’t suspect his betrayal. Or, like if others in Merriman's crew were nearby or could overhear the call, the Samoan's anger would further sell the idea that he was loyal to Merriman. This would help keep the twist hidden until the final reveal.
