Tickets for the train

The big villain is said to have bought out all of the tickets for that bullet train, so that all of the hitpeople would be alone on it. If so, how does that explain the passengers early on in the ride? Did they get their tickets "pre-paid"? What if a passenger had one of those but wanted to travel to Kyoto, the final destination of the train?

reply

I think he said he bought all the tickets for only the last leg of the trip to the final stop at Kyoto.

reply

That makes more sense, thanks.

reply

But how did the Japanese guy get on?

reply

And what happened to the train conductor and the other employees?

reply

I was so hoping the conductor (Heroes) and the snack lady (The Boys) would get to shine and kick ass

reply

Snack lady was very cute and funny in her scene in the kitchenette car. I’ve not seen The Boys. Is it worth a watch? The actress really played the Bullet Train scene perfectly. Hopefully she’ll get more work from that because she was fun to watch.

reply

I would recommend The Boys.
I was initially disappointed they didn't follow the comics but story-wise it ended up being better than the original.
There are some modern politics in the show but what can you do?

reply

It made no sense and is not realistic. And they only made that up so that there would be explanation why suddenly everyone were gone and only those assassins were left. And because whole movie they tried to portray them as cool funny guys and they were our protagonists - they couldnt be bad, you know.

We had to root for them. But how can anyone root if they crash whole train with hundreds of people many of whom will die in crash? So writers just said: "Dont worry, no one innocent dies. Train got empty just before crash and no one innocent died while all those fighting happened either.

reply

Totally agree. First of all, why buy all the tickets for the final stop? If Lemon and Tangerine did their job right, they would have been off the train long ago.

Secondly, the bomb triggered their chance to attack white death's men, but they did not know there was a bomb in it. So their plan made no sense.

Thirdly, why would the old guy let the girl go? She killed his son and pushed his grandson off roof.

Fourthly, Tangerine was a professional killer, how could he not check if Lemon was dead?

Fifthly, the poison was very quick acting, how did the doctor even made to the operation room?

Sixth, how did his agent show up where he was, the train went off rail and he lost his phone?

A lot of things in that movie just do not make sense.

reply

The bomb explosion was a happy coincidence, but not part of their plan. They were screwed without that because the plan had failed.

The old guy addressed letting her go. He said fate would deal with her, because he knew she was going after The White Death, and he would kill her.

Tangerine saw his brother had taken a center mass shot. He believed he wouldn't wear body armor, so it's reasonable to assume he's dead. Also, he was heavily sedated, most likely lowering his bodily functions to indeterminate levels.

His agent knew where he was and where he was heading. the Train crash would be easy enough to spot.

I'd have to rewatch to remember the surgeon death, and the tickets and lack of passangers didn't exactly make sense, but most of those were answered in the movie.

Yeah, that is what people do, revenge is silly, let's leave it to fate.

As long as he says so it must make sense, right?

reply

It doesn't have to be logical to you, but the character felt it was. And within the context of this movie, he was right.

reply

He wasn't. The girl died purely by luck.

reply

Lol, luck is just another word for fate.

reply

Well, in the same spirit we should get rid of police, courts and judges, let fate takes care of everything.

If you want to be silly that is fine with me, but I no longer feel like having childish conversations.

reply

Your argument is dumb as fuck. Most people don't just let decide, although many do. In this instance, the character in this movie did. Why are you comparing it to what you would do personally? That's completely irrelevant. It's obvious you're arguing to avoid saying "I guess I didn't think of that". You missed it, no big deal, but move on bro.

reply

They didn't buy the tickets for the final stop until it was clear something fishy was going on. Hell, that wasn't even the "final" stop until several developments in the plot.

reply

By then you can't buy all the tickets, because surely other people bought some tickets as well.
