People who make movies don't understand how video games work.


Seriously, the father and the little monster child are playing N64 and using the d-pad. I've never ever come across an N64 game that actually used the d-pad. Also, random button mashing and sound effects from the 1970s.

What disturbed me more was the boy saying DIE, DIE DIE, and the father not even batting an eyelash....

I thought the same. It's a cliche similar to that of TVs in movies which magically happen to be on the right channel and show something relatable to a scenario or situation the main character is facing.

But the video game thing is understandable, if they were being realistic it would not be as obvious they were playing a video game. Holding a more refined controller, wearing a headset and remaining silent wouldn't have the same effect as what we saw.

I like that boulder. That is a nice boulder.
