Snyder on directing more DC films: "Warner Bros has been aggressively anti-Snyder… they're not interested in my take"

Zack Snyder has talked about the chance for more DC movies in the "Snyder-verse".

"Warner Bros. has been aggressively anti-Snyder, if you will… Clearly, they're not interested in my take," he told Jake Hamilton. "But I would also say that they certainly weren't interested in, I would have said originally, in my take on Justice League. They certainly made decisions about that. I love the characters and I love the worlds and I think it's an amazing place to make a movie and it's glorious IP, so there's that."

He added: "I don't know what could be done as you go forward other than, I think the fan movement is so strong and the fan community is so, the intention is so pure, and I really have huge respect for it. I would hope that cooler heads would prevail with them and that they would see that there's this massive fandom that wants more of them, but who knows what they'll do."

This all could’ve been avoided had WB got Snyder out of there after Man of Steel wasn’t as well received as they had hoped. These morons not only gave him BvS but they also gave him Justice League BEFORE BvS had even came out.

wonder who couldve taken over (and done a MoS 2 instead of BvS which couldve come later) maybe Robert Zemekics or Brad Bird or Ron Howard - or if more dark/serious Fincher or Mann if they were interested

Joss Whedon. He has the best scenes in JL (Aquaman - Lasso scene, "You don't let me live, you don't let me die..", Batman - Flash talk, ..). Not to mention Avengers movies, he knows how to do superhero movies.

Never watched Buffy. But was the Aquaman - Lasso scene not in place? I think it was hilarious.

Their mind at that point was set on doing BvS instead of Man of Steel 2 after Snyder messed everything up.

A David Fincher BvS would've been awesome and the DCEU most likely would've been going strong to this day had it happened instead of what we ended up getting with Snyder.

This was a man who said he wanted to make a universe where Batman gets raped in prison and Superman pulls arms out of sockets. They still gave this creep JL, and wondered why they had to constantly wrestle with his decisions. It's like knowing someone has a long criminal history, but having a kid with them anyway.

If anything, they gave him too much leeway and spectacularly dismantled DCEU to which he contributed a LOT
