It seems The Jedi have never heard of the Prime Directive (Spoiler)

All of this mess is because they stuck their noses where it doesn't belong. The galaxy is a big place, so it makes sense that there would be places with these abilities who wouldn't call it The Force. So what right do the Jedi have to police everyone's powers.

Sol's obsession with helping these girls was so deep that upon barely knowing them he decides to kill their mother? The show doesn't even try to justify it. It just deals with the consequences so it'll have a story.

I thought it was a pretty interesting story. I still think Disney has done nothing really good with this franchise, and they have made an absolute mess of Marvel.

I didn't really know what was going on with that. I thought she'd done that witchy semi-dematerialising and it was kind of an accident that he'd landed up stabbing her...

But then, he never justified it by claiming it was an accident or anything.

There was no accident, he felt threatened by her sudden transformation.

I looked at this bit again last night and it's pretty weird.

She starts dematerialising and then so does Mae (? I think - Osha was still locked in the room right?). Anyway, I think he sees Mae / Osha dematerialising as well and thrusts his weapon into her.

She then rematerialises dead and the kid rematerialises alive... I'm not sure if he thought they were both going to disappear. And there's surely no way he could have known that by stabbing the dematerialising mother, the kid would be released and been okay...

Very weird / randomly done. But still, never seemed like an active attempt to just kill the mother.

Right. But this franchise probably needs one.
