Any other british comedies worth watching?

Whats up imdb??

I'm from NYC and I'm looking for some more british comedy, just finished up with the inbetweeners, honestly its one of the best comedy series I've seen!! To bad MTVs going to *beep* it up with a *beep* american version.

Anyway post some other british shows worth watching...

Peep Show.......fo sho. You can watch every episode on Hulu too!
Spaced, very good.

I couldn't watch IT crowd because of the laugh track. Made it seem too cheesy and wasn't really that funny.

Friday Night Dinner would also be a good one to check out. A great Irish comedy is Father Ted. Surprised no one mentioned that.

You can't go wrong with Red Dwarf and Bottom. Bottom is the same kind of crude humour that's in The Inbetweeners

IT Crowd it's like a funnier Big Bang Theory ( I really dont see why people even like that).
Pulling - Hilarious. Cancelled randomly
Lunch Monkeys - though it was fairly quickly cancelled.
Bad Education (currently airing. Pretty good)

Oh yea the Brits do sketch comedy pretty well as well. So check out some of those.

Many of the shows mentioned in this thread are nothing like Inbetweeners, and some are now very dated!
I would definitely agree with those who said Peep Show, similiar in outlook and humour, though not in style.

Agreed. I was expecting a lot of people to respond w/ similar comedies to The Inbetweeners. I am from America so I know there is still A LOT of British television I haven't seen, but I thought Pulling was VERY similar to the Inbetweeners and (almost) as funny!

Pulling to me was classic and Fresh Meat is also similar and still has Simon in it. So those would be the first 2 series I would watch if I just finished the inbetweeners.

That all said, it looks like you guys gave me some ideas for some other british television shows..

Outside of the IT or Office < never got into that stuff.

Father Ted is good.
IT Crowd is my favourite, but I've heard good things about Peep Show, I'll watch that soon. Extras is also very good.

Sorry I picked this up late, my votes go to Red Dwarf, Faulty Towers and Black Adder.

I grew up watching some of these!

Loved:

The young ones
Blackadder
The goodies
Fawlty towers
Bottom

and others.

I miss the days where New Zealand bought their TV shows predominantly from the UK.

The OP may also like Skins & Misfits?
