Is Doctor Strange really ripping off Inception?

Inception itself is a rip off of an anime called Paprika there are 5 minute long scenes that Nolan copied from the anime especially the hallway fight scene. The story character designs, theme and more were all copied from the anime.

Second Doctor Strange has had the visuals of cities flipping onto each other and within in each other in the comics since the 60s.

Third Batman Begins is based of an old Doctor Strange script

Here is what the writer of Doctor Strange said:

The writer also seems to get a kick out of the comparisons to Christopher Nolan's work in BATMAN BEGINS and INCEPTION. "We are tackling the origin story, because the origin story is so awesome that Christopher Nolan ripped half of it off for Batman Begins." - See more at

David Goyer who wrote Batman Begins previously wrote a Doctor Strange screenplay a few years before landing Batman Begins and he obviously copied Doctor Stranges script.

Its hilarious that people say Strange is copying anything.

Considering the first Doctor Strange comic had Doctor Strange entering a guy's dream and fighting a monster in it, and it was first published in the early 60s, more than 40 years before Inception was even thought of, that's a pretty silly question.

Indeed.

Even if they didn´t copy anything.
It doesn´t make the movie any good, it´s still painfully mediocre.

Hmm it gets a 7.5 on IMDB but yeah its descent into ultraviolence does turn it into the same old mediocrity one expects from comic movies.

Dr. Strange and inception don't have much in common, oh the flipping cities. It may be a hyperelaboration about what people used to believe about religions in the east though and is ripping off of those.
