Is Clooney's Job an ACTUAL job?

Is Clooney's job an actual job people have? It seems soo unbelievable that a job like that actually exists?

However, i thought the film was incredible and near perfect. 9/10

I'm wondering the same thing.

It is an actual job although I think nowadays there are local companies that they can hire instead of flying them in.

reply

I would say yes, although termination of employment would be one of many duties he would perform.

ANOTHER fictional movie called "Margin Call" opens with two attractive but cold young women moving through offices in tandem to tell people they are fired and immediately directing the "fire-ees" to security to turn in badges, lose cell phones, etc.

That looked more like it - a unit WITHIN a corporation with the task of occasionally cleaning out a percentage of staff via downsizing.

But honestly, who, in real life, would ever WANT that job as a job?

reply

Sociopaths.

reply

Heh. Yeah...or sadists.

Kind of both the same.

reply

Oh man a Sadistic Sociopath would be a nightmare to work with.

reply

..or to be fired by.

They would probably take a long time telling you...

Like the Bobs from Office Space
