I feel like I missed something... or was the switch not fully explained. He is clearly not mute, it remains unclear to me if he is super strong or just human.
That siege at the house with Black Noir is one of my favorite episodes. I don't get the sense that this new one is anywhere near as intimidating. In the comics Black Noir could go up against Homelander.

No, he seems pretty wimpy and asks too many questions. OG Noir was a gun that was aimed in a general direction and just delivered the goods.
Homelander really screwed up when he killed Black Noir but Homelander is pretty much out of control now.
I thought he said at one point that he can fly. His strength was demonstrated when he killed a man with a baseball in the S4E1. Everything about that was kind of stupid, though.
shareYep, strength and flight. Old Noir had a nut allergy. This one is a narcoleptic. Newest episode has a good fight scene with him.
shareIt might've been better if the flying came as a surprise to the audience at the same time as the protagonist. Instead, it was thrown away in a line of dialogue.
