Seriously, every boy I grew up with could not be physically harmed by our mothers by age 8. This would infuriate our mothers, they had to resort to wooden spoons and various other weapons. The threat was always "wait until your father gets home".

Her being a woman would have been fine if it had been the RIGHT woman. This kid looks like she’s straight out of a JCPenney catalogue. And the fact that they’re speaking perfect English is jarring in the extreme. If they were too lazy to go the Apocalypto route, then they could have at least spoke English with a Comanche accent.
