What's the appeal? I read a few articles about it, and nothing that I read makes me want to watch even a minute of this show.

The people are all so outlandish people, and there's just so much crime and weird things going on that every episode basically tries to one up the viewer into doing something crazier than the last.

If this was a movie, it would be ridiculed for not being realistic, yet this is true life. Think a real life Jon Waters movie.

Jon Waters is pretty sick, and I don't mean that in an ironic, positive way. At least Tiger King doesn't eat the tigers' poop as far as I know.

As SpikeMike stated, you simply wont believe how crazy some people are

They own tigers, blow up explosives for NO reason and have ongoing legal suits...they are all insane!

The wardrobe is amazing too, Tiger print shirts, loaded pistols everywhere and sparkly 'cowboy' jackets, hilariously awful tattoos...damn, these people bleed Mountain Dew and crap Taco Bell

Give it a watch, I learned a lot about how idiotic the 'big cat' market is in America
It's honestly a 'must-see,' I had no idea this insanity was going on:/

You will feel very bad for the animals, fair warning...

So is it a propaganda type thing? Playing on people's cartoon stereotypes of a certain demographic? Re-inforcing negative images, etc.? Sort of like Jud Suss and the old Nazi films portraying Jewish people as evil and despicable?

Oh no, not at all, I don't 'do politics' and find that all rather hateful and time wasting

Tiger King is an amazing short series about a bunch of competing lunatics that own hundreds of dangerous wild animals in their personal zoos

There's humor, thrills, tragedy and intrigue

I wont spoil anything, just check it out!
You wont be able to turn it off

Without spoiling anything or being specific there are a couple of really tragic accidents in the series...guns, booze, gigantic jungle cats and carelessness DO NOT make for a safe work environment

It was a surprise that anybody made it out alive!
