Why was this even made? Spoiler Alert

A ton of eyeroll moments to be had, one of which was that insane bus scene which was totally over the top and I guess LF must have had an membership with Lifetime Fitness, cuz dude moved really well for someone in their late 60s/early 70s. And the "confrontation" between LF and Sally was a huge letdown, IMO a more grandiose ending was needed, yet never materialized. Put this baby to sleep already.

Unbelievable bad.

It's a known intellectual property which has been profitable in the past. They were hoping to cash in on the major success of Halloween (2018), as many have noted bringing back Sally as a gun toting badass who has been waiting for revenge for decades was a clear ripoff of the H18 film.

Problem is the studio got cold feet about a theatrical release and sold the film to Netflix. So yeah it does end up feeling a bit pointless. A waste of many peoples time and I say that as someone who didn't mind the film, it was a bit of dumb fun and an improvement over Leatherface (2017).

I'm not sure where they go from here. A direct sequel to this film? Does anyone really want that? I imagine it'll get another reboot/remake in about 5 years.

Also was her wearing kevlar? Because I remember him getting shot multiple times with a 12 gauge!

I'm waiting for the movie in which we learn Leatherface was the victim of discrimination and his murderous habits are just his way of lashing out at his oppressors. It'll probably be a tv series on hulu or something.

reply

Ha ha, with the the direction this series has went I wouldn't be surprised.
