Anyone agree the Digital Camera Killed this movie?

I think the movie would have been way better in maybe an old style, or similar to the camera's used for say Mobsters. Mann's digital Camera style worked well for Collateral and dare I say it...Miami Vice..but this one..not so much...Sorry Mann.... but hey, your still uhhhh "the man".

Yep. Awful cinematography. It worked better on Collateral. Not on a period piece.

Dear Michael Mann,

I'm begging you, as a film enthusiast who has enjoyed your work, please do NOT use the Public Enemies DP on this new project.

Public Enemies had so much promise, with so many great actors, and a great script.

It was all ruined by - perhaps - the worst DP work I've ever seen.

Please use a different DP for this Ferrari film.

Consider the classic / timeless nature of the subject: Ferrari. Use a DP that isn't a prostitute to the latest technical gadgetry in camera equipment.

Thank you.

Just watched this movie for the first time in about five years, and yeah... it still looks awful. Michael Mann's films in general as of late, which have all been shot digitally, look atrocious. It's just more noticeable here, I guess, because of the time period.

At first, I thought shooting a film like this in digital, especially by Mann, would have been an interesting and exciting thing. In the end, I didn't feel like it was a good decision at all. Some of the shots are cool, but most of it feels... messy.

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!
