Worth to watch?!?

I am a huge Jackass fan but have yet to watch this movie for fear it will ruin the nostalgia of the past. I have seen all Jackass shows from Movies to random Spinoffs nobody heard of to podcasts members made. I wanna watch this but have kept putting it off. Seeing MGK replace Bam really upset me. Also, covid caused the lack of "man on the street" content which was the most funny and positive part of the show. This new movie seems to have no CKY east coast guys and all centered around violence and self injury which is fine when balanced out with funny man on the street content but I fear this new movie will just disappoint and make me sad. Probably watch it but not in a rush

it's very good. I love Bam and I hated that they left him out, but I completely forgot about him during the movie.
You should also watch Jackass 4.5, it's even better.

reply

I AGREE WITH EVERY WORD...EXCEPT...I hated that they left him out...AS THEY MADE EVERY EFFORT TO INCLUDE BAM...HE LEFT HIMSELF OUT WITH HIS ISSUES...SOLID ENTRY IN THE FRANCHISE THOUGH...INTERESTING TO WATCH THE JACKASSES GET OLD.

reply

hey, what about Bella Ramsey for Jackass V? someone punching her face would be cool.

I enjoyed it, definitely worth a watch!
I grew up a huge fan of CKY Bam, his skating, his film making, his persona, all of it, but he’s not even a shadow of his former self, and in my opinion a dumpster fire of self pity, entitlement and a manipulative as well as abusive individual, with little to no regard for the people he hurts through living a life of denial, avoidance and self destruction.

reply

yeah he is fucked but SteveO was fucked in Jackass 2 and they still let him go onscreen and put leeches in his eye. I feel like it was more financial move to not include him and used his state of addiction as an excuse to jew him out of the movie while acting like good samaritans

reply

It very well may have been, but if so, Bam gave them all the ammunition they needed to Sonny Corleone his ass.

reply

that is true, he is pretty fucked and played his cards wrong. wish he can get his life together for his kiddo

reply

I agree, for his kiddo for sure, sheeet, I wish he’d get his life together because I miss the old Bam. I was in awe of him during his CKY days, talented film maker, good looking, could street skate with the best of them, excellent music taste, he had it all. That opening to CKY2K with Rammstein’s Du Hast, it hit so hard!

sadly sometimes its the brightest stars that burn out the quickest :( its still not over for Bam yet, if he can conquer his demons he will come back an even better version we ever seen. SteveO is doing so well now, I listen to his podcast and get a lot of positive thoughts and healthy spiritual mindset from the conversations. I would have never guessed the craziest dude from Jackass would turn his life around become the most positive, happy, and healthy one of the whole lot. He is trying his best to help Bam but at the end of the day there is only one person who can help him and that is himself. I hope he can turn his life around. He has a healthy happy kid to live for and needs to be there for him

reply

Big fan of SteveO’s podcast as well! You know who else is doing well, you probably do, but Brandon Novak. It’s amazing what he’s done for himself in regards to his recovery and establishing success in life. The guy was prostituting himself for heroin at one point. So proud of Novak!

reply

yeah he was more lost than SteveO at his rock bottom back then but came out of it. One thing that made me sad was watching a clip of Ryan Dunn yelling at Novak for buying dope in Philly and coming back from using in the woods, this was filmed in Bams garage I think. Heroin is an evil dangerous drug but alcohol is no safer. Watching and an alcoholic yell at a junkie only to know that the junkie will survive and the alcoholic will die a couple years later made me sad. if only society treated the liquor with the respect it deserves and not like a trivial fun toy to mindlessly enjoy Ryan Dunn might have been alive. I used to drink and drive and even drink and crash back in my days so I am not judging Ryan but I just wish he focused on his own demons instead of trying to fix Novak problems back then

reply

I couldn’t agree with you more, on everything you said, and I know that scene you’re talking about, it hit me in the feels too, watching Dunn lay into Novak the way he did. I know they were tying to help him but there was a lot of projecting going on and Novak was the low hanging fruit. Strange how it worked it out, with SteveO and Novak climbing out of the river of deceit (Mad Season reference😉) and Bam, Dunn and so many others being swept away by it.
